Magicians, sometimes known as sorcerers, wizards, illusionists or mages, are in the fictional sense beings that possess supernatural or occult powers, and in the literal sense pracitioners of sleight of hand, chemistry and physics. Magicians have existed throughout history, being used for entertainment and in fictional tales, advisement to figures of prominence.
Magicians have performed in Vaudeville, the Circus, on streetcorners, and television. Many Magicians, both fictional and real life, have been featured with the Muppets.
