James Murray is a freelance puppeteer and voice actor who has occasionally worked on Henson/Muppet productions. He performed on Dinosaurs, playing hand-puppet refrigerator creatures in "When Food Goes Bad" and members of the WESAYSO hearing board in "What "Sexual Harris" Meant." He also served as an additional puppeteer on Muppets Tonight, Muppet Classic Theater, Muppet*Vision 3D, Telling Stories with Tomie dePaola (where he played the Rabbit), and The Muppets.
Murray assisted Tyler Bunch as Bongo in the pilot episodes for the Henson Alternative production Late Night Buffet. Outside of the Muppets, Murray and fellow puppeteer Kevin Carlson produced, wrote, performed, and built puppets for the direct-to-video series The Adventures of Timmy the Tooth, and he was a series regular on Greg the Bunny. Murray replaced Kevin Clash as Splinter in the non-Henson Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time.
Murray co-wrote and co-produced the online Duckwalksintoabar series with producing and writing partner, Kevin Susman. He created the online series Puppet Guru at puppetji.com.
